Today has been Father’s Day in the UK and as they go I couldn’t really have asked for a better one. Woken to a bacon roll in bed followed by a lovely card from my LG and a very  awesome t-shirt

I am the number 1 Dad in the Galaxy, that’s good enough for me 🙂

This was followed by being joined by some of our closest friends who came to celebrate the day with us. We took our kids to the park, with the height, noise of musical machines and a loud haler I am sure it is only a matter of time before SNDC rip it up (I jest, it was amazing, shame it’s nearly two miles by car and not much less using the cut through, when there are 4 others closer you’d think one would be suitable alas not so much……… As the kids enjoyed playing on the equipment and football I practiced the wheelchair wheelie – it’s not a good angle and does look like my foot is on the floor but I promise you it is not, I frightened the people I was with and my wife told me to behave when I nearly went backwards but hey come on it’s good practice for all the steps everywhere and great for my core muscles and shoulder and upper body. They’re my excuses and I’m sticking to them 🙂

Wheelchair Wheelies finally mastered on grass

Then it was back to ours for an amazing roast dinner cooked by my wife (she cannot wait to tag me back in when the wheelchair accessible kitchen is finished as it is not her thing) followed by a long soak in the hot tub. Usually a lovely relaxing part of the day but with three kids joining you it was less relaxing more tidal waves, monsters, pirates and human buckaroo, I kid you not and it doesn’t get better than that. Lots of fun, lots of laughter, my son finally crawled in about 4 having being at a wedding until 2 the night before (oh to be 19 again), two new board games Othello and Dobble and a dice game Left, Right, Centre which I feel sure can be converted to a drinking and or gambling game………………………. As I collapse into bed I’ll leave you with human buckaroo
